Stanley White Injured in Pioneertown Multi-Vehicle Crash on Pioneertowm Road
Pioneertown, California (March 2, 2020) – Police officers have arrested the driver involved in a wrong-way crash that sent three people to the hospital on Friday, February 28, at around 815 p.m. in Pioneertown.
The California Highway Patrol was called at the scene of the crash on Pioneertown Road south of Chateau Road.
According to the report, Stanley White, 75, of Pioneertown, was driving a Ram 250 in the wrong direction of the roadway when he sideswiped the left-hand side of a Hyundai Accent traveling southbound.
White continued traveling on the wrong way and collided head-on with a Honda Odyssey.
Three people were injured in the collision.
White and a passenger in the Honda sustained major injuries, and they were transported by Morongo Basin Ambulance to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs for treatment. The driver of the Honda was flown to Loma Linda Medical Center by a California Highway Patrol helicopter.
White was arrested for DUI and was booked into West Valley Detention Center upon his release from the hospital.
The crash is still under investigation.
