Santa Rosa Man John Bare Killed in Miranda Head-on Crash on Highway 101

John Bare Killed, Timothy Barger and Teresa Bowles Injured in Head-On Crash on Highway 101 in Miranda

Miranda, Calif. (December 6, 2017) – The man who was killed in a head-on crash that left two other people injured last week in Miranda has been identified as 59-year old John Bare from Santa Rosa, according to a police report.
The deadly crash took at about 12:50 p.m. November 27 on Highway 101, just south Salmon Creek Road.
Reportedly, Bare was driving an SUV southbound on Highway 101 when, for some reason, he lost control of the SUV and collided head-on with a Ford Excursion driven by Teresa Bowles, 45, of Healdsburg.
According to the CHP, Bare sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene. His passenger, identified as Timothy Barger, 66, of Guerneville, suffered major injuries and was transported to St. Joseph hospital for treatment.
Teresa Bowles was transported to Jerold Phelps Hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
Reportedly, there was heavy rainfall and hail in the area at the time of the crash.
The incident remained under investigation.
