Sadie Martin ID’d as Woman Killed in Loma Rica Pedestrian Crash on Loma Rica Road near Highway 20

Loma Rica, California (March 26, 2020) – One person was killed in an auto-pedestrian crash on Saturday night in Loma Rica, according to police.

The fatal accident occurred at around 8:00 p.m. on March 21, on Loma Rica Road, just north of Highway 20.

The authorities said Randall Lewis Fletcher, 20, of Loma Rica, was driving his vehicle at an unsafe speed when he struck Sadie Martin, 19, who was pushing her 2005 Honda in the southbound lane of the roadway.

The Honda was hit on the left side by Chrysler’s front, which also struck Martin.

Martin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fletcher remained at the scene and was cooperative, authorities said.

Intoxication was not considered a factor in the accident.

An investigation into the crash is underway.

“A person on foot is no match for a large, multi-ton vehicle. Pedestrians have virtually no protection when they are hit by cars, motorcycles, trucks, and other vehicles” Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, Mr. Arin Khodaverdian, believes. “Sadly, this often leads to catastrophic injuries including temporary or lifelong disability, severe disfigurement, severe physical and emotional pain, and/or death.” He adds.

Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys have helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”

Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
