Roberto Vejar, Adelmira Sanchez Injured in Fatal Collision in Earlimart

Earlimart, California – A deadly accident in Earlimart that occurred on Monday afternoon killed 3 people, meanwhile two people sustained minor injuries identified as Roberto Barron Vejar, 48, and Adelmira Sanchez, 35, both residents of Delano.

On September 14, at around 3:20 pm, the accident occurred that involved two vehicles, in the area of Avenue 48 at Road 160.

A 26-year-old McFarland woman was driving a 2014 Nissan Sentra northbound on Road 160 when she failed to stop at the red signal and collided with a 2003 Toyota Tacoma traveling west on Avenue 48.

The driver of the Nissan and her two passengers, a 4-year-old and a 4-month-old both from McFarland were killed in the accident. The authorities stated that the children were not properly restrained in the seats.

Vejar and his passenger, Sanchez were taken to the hospital for treating their minor injuries.

The factor of driving under the influence is not believed to be the cause of the accident.

An investigation is underway to know the cause of the accident.
