Mendota Man Dies in Firebaugh Rollover Accident on Highway 33, Sunday Afternoon
Driver Killed in Single-Car Crash on Highway 33 in Firebaugh
Firebaugh, California – CHP is investigating the Firebaugh rollover accident that took place on Highway 33 killing a man on Sunday afternoon.
The CHP reports states that a 49-year-old Mendota man was driving a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 northbound on Highway 33 when he turned his vehicle left and went across the roadway for unknown reasons.
The vehicle continued traveling on the west shoulder of the road and finally overturned.
Due to the crash, the driver was ejected from the car and landed on railroad tracks where he was declared dead.
On October 5, at around 5:23 pm, the accident occurred near Shaw Avenue.
However, Alcohol or drugs were not believed to be a factor in the accident.
The accident remains under investigation by the CHP.
