The fatal crash happened at around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, January 9 at the intersection of Inyo and D streets.
According to authorities, Escobedo was crossing Inyo street west of the D street intersection when for undetermined reasons, he was hit by a vehicle driven by Leonardo Villasenor, 50.
Escobedo suffered major injuries and was taken to Kaweah Delta Hospital, where he was declared dead four days later.
