Sonia Mena Arrested For Hanford DUI Car Accident at 9th Avenue and Lacey Boulevard
Hanford, California (January 22, 2020) – A 26-year-old man was hurt in an alleged DUI car crash in the area of Hanford shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Sunday.
According to a local news source, the 2-vehicle collision took place in the area of 9th Avenue and Lacey Boulevard on January 19.
The accident involved a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Sonia Mena north on 9th Avenue and another car operated by 26-year-old man eastbound on Lacer Boulevard.
The initial report indicated that Mena was turning onto Lacey Boulevard when she ran a posted stop sign and collided with the second vehicle in the intersection.
Police affirmed that Mena was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the collision.
The eastbound car driver sustained unspecified injuries in the crash. He was attended to by paramedics and then rushed to Adventist Medical Center for further treatment.
The identity of the injured party and his current condition has not yet been released to this time.
Mena was arrested and booked into the Kings County Jail where she was charged with felony DUI causing injury and a separate outstanding warrant.
The investigation is underway.
