Coroner ID’d Motorist Killed in Victorville Traffic Accident on Interstate 15 as Kentarri Currie
Victorville, California (May 26, 2020) – 24-year-old Kentarri Currie, of Fontana, has been identified by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s office as the victim who died after a black 1999 Toyota Avalon slammed into the back of a parked 2010 Freightliner Cascadia in the area of Victorville at around 12:19 a.m. May 22.
The circumstances that led to the collision on the northbound Interstate 15 near Bear Valley Road off-ramp Friday morning were not immediately established at the time of the report.
Due to the impact, the car was trapped under the truck, and Currie was pinned inside the wreckage.
Officials said the driver of the parked vehicle was asleep in the cab prior to the collision.
Sadly, Currie died in the accident.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The fatal crash remains under an active investigation.
