Injuries Sustained in Sylmar Car Accident on San Diego (405) Freeway near Golden State (5) Freeway
Sylmar, California (December 7, 2019) – Injuries were sustained following a traffic accident that happened Saturday morning in Sylmar, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck took place at around 5:15 a.m. on San Diego (405) Freeway, just south of the Golden State (5) Freeway.
According to the CHP, a movie trailer truck and an RV collided on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway for an undetermined reason. Due to the impact, the truck flipped onto its side while the RV rolled over and landed onto its roof.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and treated those who were hurt as a result of the crash. The total number of patients and the extent of their injuries at this time were not disclosed.
The No. 4 lane of the southbound San Diego Freeway was shut down for two hours while authorities investigated and cleared the scene.
Further details were not immediately provided, and the crash remains under investigation.
