Fatal Fullerton Suspected DUI Multi-Vehicle Crash on Raymond Street at Orangefair Lane

Elderly Man Killed in Three-Vehicle Accident on Raymond Street at Orangefair Lane

Fullerton, California (December 14, 2019) –The Fullerton Police Department is investigating the cause of a multi-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of an 80-year-old man on Friday afternoon in Fullerton.

The fatal collision, which happened at around 3:00 p.m. December 13, occurred on Raymond Street at Orangefair Lane.

The accident involved a 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS and a white 2015 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by a 25-year-old man southbound on Raymond Street at a high rate of speed.

The initial report indicated that the Dodge Ram slammed into the Chevelle Malibu that was making a left turn onto Orangefair Lane.

Due to the impact, the Dodge overturned and came to rest on its roof.

Officials said a third unspecified vehicle was also involved in the mishap.

The Malibu operator was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been released to this time.

Meanwhile, the Dodge Ram driver was rushed to a trauma center for treatment of moderate injuries sustained in the wreck.

Polices later arrested the Dodge Ram motorist and charged him on suspicion of DUI causing death.

The investigation is underway.
