Elizabeth Ambriz and 2 Children Injured in Ukiah Rear-End Collision on Highway 20
Ukiah, California – Following the Ukiah rear-end accident that was caused by the driver who was eating a hamburger on Monday evening, Elizabeth Elliot Ambri, 33, of Redwood Valley and two children were injured and hospitalized, according to the CHP.
On October 5, at around 5:55 pm, Joshua Franklin Murray, 39, of Lucerne was driving a 2002 Dodge Ram pickup truck eastbound on Highway 20 when he failed to notice the stopped traffic because of an earlier collision near Pomo Way.
The Dodge slammed into the rear end of the 2018 Kia Soul driven by Elizabeth.
The impact of the collision pushed the Kia into a Honda Accord that was driven by Jacquine Snelson of Upper Lake. Later it moved into the westbound lane and collided with a Ford Explorer driven by Ladina Williams of Lucerne, 49.
The CHP also stated that the Honda collided with a 2007 Chevrolet HHR driven by Toni Gayle Conley, 61, of Upper Lake.
Elizabeth along with 2 children, a 3-year-old and 6-year-old sustained major injuries in the crash.
Elizabeth was taken to the Lake County hospital whereas the 3-year-old was flown to Oakland Children’s hospital. Meanwhile, the older child was flown to U.C. Davis,
The driver of the Ford, Williams, and a 1-year-old female child was transported to a nearby hospital on precautionary measures.
No other injuries were reported and alcohol or drugs were not suspected to play the role in the accident.
The accident remains under investigation.
