Bryan Bogan Dies Days after Long Beach Pedestrian Accident on Del Amo Boulevard near Locust Avenue
Long Beach, California (April 8, 2020) – Bryan Bogan, 61, of Long Beach, succumbed to his injuries after being involved in a pedestrian accident late last month in Long Beach.
On March 24, at about 12:40 p.m., a Dodge Caravan was heading westbound on Del Amo Boulevard when it rear-ended a Honda Accord. The impact caused the Honda to slam into a parked car and struck Bogan and a 71-year-old Torrance man as they were disconnecting towing equipment.
Bogan and the other unidentified man, who were standing between the Honda and a Mercedes-Benz E320, sustained serious injuries following the crash. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
On Saturday, April 4, Bogan died from his injuries at the hospital.
The driver of the Dodge, identified as Charlette Anne Colton, 50, of Lakewood, did stop to render aid and fled the scene. She was later located and arrested on suspicion of DUI causing injury and felony hit-and-run. Her bail was set at $100,000.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
