Man Killed in Acton Car Crash on Antelope Valley (14) Freeway ID’d as Allen Gaitan

Acton, California – Allen Gaitan, 41, of Palmdale, is the man killed in the single-car accident on Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Acton on Sunday night.

On September 20, at around 8:50 pm, Gaitan was driving a 1995 Toyota Corolla southbound on the freeway when he lost control of his car and went off the roadway.

The Toyota then crashed off the side of the freeway and went down an embankment onto Forest View Road before striking a chain-link fence.

The California Highway Patrol stated that Gaitan was ejected from the vehicle and then declared him dead at the scene.

Mitch Gaitan, 30 of Palmdale who was the passenger in the Toyota was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital sustaining major injuries.

Alcohol and drugs didn’t play the factor in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
