Driver Killed in West Marin Big Rig Crash on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road
Todd Shoberg Killed in Head-On Collision on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road in West Marin
West Marin, California – Following the West Marin big rig accident that happened on Point Reyes- Petaluma Road on Monday morning, one man has been identified as Todd Michael Shoberg, 42, of Petaluma who was killed.
The CHP stated that Michael was driving a Mazda 6 sport wagon westbound on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road.
Without knowing any reasons, Michael veered his car into the eastbound lane colliding head-on with a Peterbilt dump truck.
The police reported of this accident at around 9:10 am, near Novato Boulevard, just west of the French Marin Cheese Factory.
Michael was declared dead at the accident scene.
Meanwhile, the truck driver sustained moderate injuries and was taken to the Marin Health Medical Center in Greenbrae for treatment.
Due to the crash, the road between Nicasio Valley Road and Novato Boulevard was closed for the investigators to examine the scene.
No more information was available about the crash.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
