Woman Killed in San Jose Accident on Highway 101 near Bernal Road
33-Year-Old Los Gatos Woman Killed in San Jose Crash Wednesday Night
San Jose, California – Following the San Jose accident that occurred between a 2015 Honda and a 2020 Honda on Wednesday night, one woman from Los Gatos died according to CHP.
The victim has been identified as a 33-year-old woman who was driving the 2015 Honda southbound on Highway 101 at high speeds greater than 65 mph when she drifted into another lane and collided with the right side of a southbound 2020 Honda.
The 2015 Honda moved into the west shoulder and crashed into the tree.
On September 23, at around 11 pm, the accident took place north of Bernal Road.
The driver of the 2015 Honda was declared dead at the scene. However, her name was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
The 2020 Honda driver, a 23-year-old San Jose resident stayed at the scene following the accident.
CHP is determining the cause of the accident and whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
