Daniel Velasquez Killed in Northwest Bakersfield Crash on Calloway Drive near Rosedale Highway
Bakersfield, California – A man who was killed in the northwest Bakersfield accident between a vehicle and a pedestrian has been identified as 40-year-old Daniel Santos Velasquez by the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
On September 3 at around 9:40 pm, the accident happened in the 2700 block of Calloway Drive near Rosedale Highway.
The police stated that Daniel was walking outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle traveling southbound on Calloway Drive.
The victim was killed in the accident, however, the involved driver stayed at the scene while cooperating with the investigators.
According to the police, alcohol, drugs, and speed was not the possible factors involved in the accident.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
