1 Killed in Buttonwillow Collision on Brite Road and Wasco Way
Teen Killed in Buttonwillow Quad Accident Friday Night
Buttonwillow, California – A quad accident that occurred on Brite Road and Wasco Way on Friday night, a teen was killed according to the CHP.
On September 11, Friday, the accident occurred on Brite Road and Wasco Way.
The CHP stated that a Yamaha YZR 450 was traveling east on Brite Road when it did not stop at the red sign at the intersection of Wasco Way and collided with a 2000 Honda Civic driven by Eduardo Zapedo, 19 of Delano.
Due to the impact, both the occupants of the Yamaha were ejected from the vehicle.
However, the driver a 13-year-old was declared dead at the accident scene.
Meanwhile, the passenger, 15 years old was airlifted to Kern Medical sustaining major injuries.
The Honda driver, Zapedo was treated for minor injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the authorities.
