Elisha Valdes Injured in Clearlake Car Crash on Highway 53
Elisha Valdes Among 2 Injured in Fatal Lake County Collision Tuesday Morning
Lake County, California – The California Highway Patrol has stated that Elisha Valdes, a 49-year-old resident of Clearlake Oaks was one of the two people injured in a deadly Lake County accident that occurred on Tuesday.
On September 1, at around 9:15 pm, the accident happened on Highway 53.
A 2005 Mercedes ML350 was traveling northbound on Highway 53 when it crossed the double yellow line in an attempt to overtake a large vehicle, ended in colliding with an oncoming 2016 Toyota Camry that was driven by Elisha’s husband Jesus R. Valdes, 53 of Novato, as stated by the California Highway Patrol.
Elisha was driving a 2015 Nissan Altima behind the Toyota when it crashed into the driver’s side.
The driver of the Mercedes was not wearing a seatbelt and died in the accident.
Elisha was taken to the Adventist Health Clear Lake as she suffered from minor injuries. Whereas her husband was rushed to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center as he was severely injured.
The report states that there was no factor of alcohol or drugs playing a part as the cause of the accident.
The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
