Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Crash on Amargosa Road in Victorville
Rider Airlifted after Victorville Motorcycle Accident on Amargosa Road and Midtown Drive
Victorville, California (May 14, 2020) – A motorcyclist was critically injured Wednesday morning in a traffic accident near the Winco shopping center in Victorville, according to a local news source.
Officers responded to Amargosa Road and Midtown Drive, at around 9:45 a.m. on May 13, for reports of a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle, authorities said.
As per the report, a red Ford Mustang collided with a black 2002 Suzuki GSF motorcycle on the roadway for unknown reasons. The rider was ejected from the bike upon the impact and thrown several feet down the road.
The rider was airlifted to a trauma center in critical condition. The name of the patient was not immediately disclosed.
The driver of the Mustang stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The Mustang sustained rear end-damage following the crash, authorities said.
Amargosa Road between Midtown Drive and Dakota Street was closed as crews worked to clear the crash site.
The accident remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the Victorville Police Department at 720-241-2911.
