Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on 215 Freeway near Highway 10 in Colton
Colton, California (December 8, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in the area of Colton early on Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal collision was reported at around 6:30 a.m. December 8, on the roadway of the southbound 215 Freeway near the 10 Freeway.
The CHP said a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle of unspecified built while running on the southbound lanes of the highway.
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said the driver of the involved vehicle stopped after hitting the pedestrian and cooperated with the investigation.
The crash resulted in the closure of all lanes of the southbound 215 freeway for about 20 minutes
The fatal crash remains under an active investigation.
