Man Dies Following Fatal Van Nuys Bicycle Accident at Kester Avenue and Victory Boulevard
Van Nuys, California (December 8, 2019) – According to a local news source, a bicyclist was hit and killed by a vehicle at a Van Nuys intersection Saturday evening.
The deadly accident took place at about 6:00 p.m. Saturday, December 7 at the intersection of Kester Avenue and Victory Boulevard.
As per the report, a man believed to be in his 40s was riding his bicycle eastbound on Kester Avenue when he allegedly crossed the intersection and was struck by a westbound vehicle that was entering the intersection at Victory Boulevard with a green light.
The man was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His name has not been released pending notification of next of family.
The driver involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
