Victim Killed in Bankers Hill Pedestrian Crash at 5 Freeway and India Street ID’d as David Hill
Bankers Hill, California (December 7, 2019) – 38-year-old David Henry Hill, of San Diego, has been identified as the victim killed in a pedestrian collision that took place in Bankers Hill on Monday morning.
The fatal crash happened in the area of Interstate 5 Freeway and India Street near West Olive Street at about 4:55 a.m. December 2.
As per the report, Hill was struck by a Chrysler minivan driven by a 55-year-old man while crossing India Street for unknown reasons.
The initial report showed that the minivan was exiting the highway at the time of the collision.
Hill was transported to UC San Diego Medical Center in Hillcrest, where he died at 5:40 a.m.
Meanwhile, officials said Hill died from blunt force injuries to his brain and other parts of his body sustained in the crash.
The involved male driver stopped after the wreck and cooperated with the investigation.
The investigation is underway.
