Joe Mendiola Killed in Fresno Pedestrian Crash at West and Shield Avenues
Fresno, California (March 4, 2020) – Joe Mendiola, 67, of Fresno has been identified as the man who was struck and killed by a car on Monday evening in Fresno according to Authorities.
The crash occurred at West Avenue and Shield Avenues at about 7:00 p.m., March 2.
Mendiola was struck by a car driven by an adult female who was driving her children at the time at the intersection in Central Fresno, according to the police
Mendiola was taken to the Community Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.
The female driver and her three children’s conditions were not available at the time.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
