Brandon Bachelier ID’d as Man Killed in Hesperia DUI Car Accident on Amargosa Road and Key Pointe Avenue
Hesperia, California (January 26, 2020) – The man who was killed Friday night in an alleged DUI crash in Hesperia has been identified as Brandon Bachelier, 40, of Hesperia.
The deadly crash took place at around 11:57 p.m. Friday, January 24 at the intersection of Amargosa Road and Key Pointe Avenue.
Authorities said Bachelier was driving a 2003 Honda Accord northbound on Amargosa Road when for an unknown reason, his vehicle drifted into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a 2016 Kia Forte driven by a 20-year-old woman.
As a result of the crash, Bachelier, who was not wearing his seat belt at the time, was ejected from his vehicle.
Paramedics responded to the scene and performed CPR on Bachelier. Despite life-saving measures, Bachelier did not survive his injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the Kia stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Police believed alcohol played a role in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the crash is urged to call police at 760-947-1500.
