Woman Suffer Major Injuries in Scripps Ranch Crash at Carroll Canyon Road and Businesspark Avenue
San Diego, California (January 10, 2020) – According to a local news report, a woman was hospitalized Thursday evening after a three-vehicle crash that happened in the area of Carroll Canyon Road and Businesspark Avenue in the Scripps Ranch neighborhood of San Diego.
The multi-car accident occurred at about 4:20 p.m. Thursday, January 9 at the intersection of Carroll Canyon Road and Businesspark Avenue.
As per the local news report, a 2013 Mercedes-Benz SUV was traveling eastbound in the 9900 block of Carroll Canyon Road when its driver failed to a stop at a red light at the intersection and broadsided a northbound Toyota Camry that entered the intersection on a green light.
The Camry veered onto the sidewalk after the impact. A blue 2008 Honda minivan that followed the Camry through the green light was also struck by the Mercedes.
A 45-year-old woman, who was the driver of the Camry, sustained a fractured pelvis and other serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital. Her name and condition at this time were not immediately disclosed.
The driver of the Mercedes, a 28-year-old man, and the Honda driver, a 72-year-old woman, both didn’t report any injuries.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
