Driver Hospitalized after Petaluma Truck Crash on Lakeville Highway and Pine View Way
Petaluma, California (May 15, 2020) – A driver was seriously injured in a traffic accident on Thursday evening in Petaluma, according to police.
The crash occurred on Lakeville Highway and Pine View Way, at about 5:34 p.m., on May 14. Lakeville Highway is also known as State Route 116.
According to the authorities, a white box truck was traveling eastbound on Lakeville Highway when it collided with a silver Lexus SUV trying to turn onto the highway from Pine View Way.
The truck was reportedly unable to stop in time, and it struck the driver’s side front fender of the Lexus.
First responders arrived at the scene and found the Lexus driver suffering from serious injuries. The driver was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The highway was closed for an unknown period due to the accident.
Drugs or alcohol were not believed to have contributed to the collision.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
