Stockton Head-On Crash on Highway 99 near Hammer Lane Injured 1
Stockton, California (March 24, 2020) – One person sustained minor injuries following a two-vehicle collision Saturday night in Stockton, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The accident involved a Cadillac and a Honda that collided head-on along southbound Highway 99 at the Hammer Lane off-ramp shortly before midnight on March 21.
Due to the impact, both vehicles acquired major front-end damage.
The Cadillac was traveling the wrong way on the highway when it crashed head-on into the Honda, a witness reported.
One unidentified person sustained minor injuries in the wreck. The victim was attended to by medical personnel along with fire department officials who responded at the scene shortly after the mishap.
It was not mentioned whether or not the injured party was transported to the hospital for further aid.
Authorities affirmed that a woman abandoned one of the cars and went to a gas station nearby after the wreck.
The CHP is investigating to identify the cause of the accident.
